SLACK IS YOUR ENEMY
#SLACKISYOURENEMY #FEEDTHEBEAST #FEELTHEFLY #FISHFEEDER After hiking miles and miles of Montana trout streams and floating through endless rivers I ended up with some pretty good fly fishing pictures I wanted to share with you. As you can see my flies du jour are big dry flies and streamers. Fall fishing in Craig, Mt on the Missouri River was good although it was too sunny and in lots of cases we were tech nymphing to catch fish. When the clouds come out it seems like so do some of the big browns. Check out these pictures of the ladies from the Sisters on the Fly who caught some very nice fish and worked hard to keep the slack out of their cast. Ultimately casting is simply about feeling the fly and getting the slack out of your cast before starting a new one. How you start your cast is how you finish and if you remember Sea & Streams three buzz phrases I know that everyone will learn to fish better. After all we will never know everything about fishing, but being a better caster will help sharpen every anglers ability to become a fish feeder while gaining the knowledge and experience required to go out and catch big fish, day after day.
The Musselshell River was phenomenal this summer and the brown trout population continues to blossom. Big browns and lots of wading through private water. The Top Hat Lodge on the Two Dot Ranch offers premier access to some of the finest trout fishing in the west. In additions to our guide trip on on the Madison, Gallatin Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers we are offering customized package wade and float trips on the Musselshell River, Smith River, Big Spring Creek, Judith River, Sun River, Dearborn River. We have cabins for rent on the Dearborn, Missouri, and Blackfoot Rivers, I will get these on website asap.
